Sixth form students, university students and graduates across the Channel Islands can enjoy 50% off a range of beach activities with exclusive discount codes from professional services firm EY.
EY has teamed up with Jono’s in Jersey, Outdoor Guernsey and Guernsey Surf School to offer students who have signed up to their student mailing list 50% off hire of paddleboards, kayaks and surf boards every Wednesday throughout August. A unique discount code is sent out to those on the mailing list every Wednesday morning during the month of August.
Each code is valid for use during the same day it is issued. To redeem the code, students need to simply contact Jono’s, Guernsey Surf School or Outdoor Guernsey directly and quote the code at the time of booking.
The offer is open to all students based in Guernsey and Jersey who are sixteen years of age and in full-time education. If this applies to you and you would like to receive further communications on this, you can sign up for EY’s mailing list through this link. Members of this list will also receive practical career advice and tips from EY’s careers team, along with various resources that can be used to help with finding the right career path.
Fiona Morton (pictured), EY’s Assurance Partner and Head of Talent for EY in Guernsey, explained why partnering with local businesses to offer students these opportunities is important to the firm: “Investing in our people’s health and wellbeing and ensuring everyone is taking care of themselves so they can perform at their best is our priority. Therefore, extending this support to our local community and teaming up with our local service providers was a natural step for us.
“With the stresses and pressures that comes with work, studying and exams, it can be easy for our health to take a back seat. We hope students can take this opportunity to relax and enjoy the benefits of being outdoors with their friends and family and recharge over the summer holiday. I’d also like to wish all the students receiving exams results the best of luck with their next steps. We encourage anyone to contact us if they require guidance or support with their future career paths. We have a variety of opportunities available for any school leavers or graduates interested in a career in financial services.”
EY has a variety of opportunities available to get a taste of what a career in financial services could look like for you. They are currently accepting applications for their 2024 Summer Internship programme, which is open to all university students and graduates, as well as work experience opportunities throughout the academic year for any students above the age of 16 who would like to find out more about a career in financial services. For those looking to start their careers, there are still spaces available on EY’s trainee programme this September. Anyone interested in any of these opportunities is encouraged to email Anoushka Horgan from EY’s CI talent team who will be happy to provide further information and next steps.
