After an extended absence due to the Covid-19 restrictions, the EY Easter Running Festival is all set to take place this year.

The four-day festival will be held over the Easter weekend, starting on Friday, 15th April, with the last event taking place on Monday, 18th April. The festival comprises a 5k and 10k road race, the Keith Falla Memorial full course cross country and a 4×1 mile relay race.

In a change to previous years, the relay race will be taking place at Delancey Park to enhance the spectator experience, as well as to showcase the island further to visiting athletes.

Ove Svejstrup, Associate Partner at EY in Guernsey, highlights why this sponsorship is important to EY: “We are delighted to be continuing our support and sponsorship of the EY Easter Running Festival. Taking care of both your physical and mental health and wellbeing has always been a priority for EY and our people, and the past two years have proven just how important this is for everyone. Having the opportunity to support Guernsey Athletics with an event that puts this at the forefront for the local community aligns perfectly with our core brand values.

“After taking a break for the past two years, we are excited to bring the festival back bigger and better than before. The development of the dedicated running festival website, created by EY’s Tech Risk team, will house the registration and event information all in one place, which will provide a more streamlined user experience for all participants.”

Graham Merfield, Chairman of the Guernsey Athletics Club, added: “We are pleased to once again hold the EY Easter Running Festival after a two-year break and thank EY for their continued support. During that time, we have seen increasing numbers of Islanders take up running and other outdoor activities. We are looking forward to a high level of participation from the local community and visitors over the Easter weekend. This event is designed for runners of all abilities and showcases Guernsey’s beautiful island scenery.”
