Professional services firm, EY, has announced that Max Ellis has been promoted to Partner within its Guernsey office.
Max (pictured), a seasoned professional with over 13 years of experience at EY, has been with the firm since 2010.
His journey with EY began as a trainee in the assurance team after completing his A-levels at Elizabeth College. Over the years, Max has distinguished himself through his exceptional work ethic, industry knowledge and his ability to lead complex, high-profile assurance engagements.
Reflecting on his promotion, Max shared: “I am thrilled to take on the role of Partner at EY. My focus has always been on delivering value through strong project management and a culture of continuous improvement. I’m excited to further contribute to our strategic goals and the success of our clients.”
Max’s career trajectory has been marked by significant international exposure, having served on secondments in EY’s London and Sydney offices. His expertise spans the financial services industry, where he has provided assurance services to both listed and private entities across various sectors along with managing other non-audit assurance engagements.
An accomplished cricketer, Max brings the same level of dedication and teamwork to his professional endeavours as he does to the sport. His ability to foster a high-performance culture within his teams has been a key factor in his success. He has streamlined audits with effective project management, embracing technology and championing a culture of innovation.
Dan Saunders, EY’s Channel Islands Managing Partner, commented on Max’s promotion, stating: “Max’s promotion to Partner is a celebration of his unwavering dedication and the value he brings to our clients and our firm. His promotion is also a reflection of our confidence in the sustained growth in the Channel Islands’ financial services industry.”
