MSc Student Zuzanna Soltysiak on her way to survey

What we learned about Guernsey’s Dolphins in 2022-02

Guernsey Biological Records Centre (GBRC) DolFin Project welcomes Zuzanna Soltysiak back to Guernsey to tell us what she discovered from her research on Guernsey Bottlenose Dolphins.

Between May and August 2022, GBRC and DolFin Project hosted Zuzanna from the University of Exeter and Jersey International Centre for Advanced Studies. With the help of over 20 dedicated volunteers providing over 600 hours of fieldwork help to Zuzanna as she studied our local dolphin population for 3 months for her master’s (MSc) fieldwork.

We are hosting two talk sessions with Zuzanna, the first on Saturday 12th November at Frossard Theatre at Candie Gardens and Sunday 13th November at the Guernsey Yacht club to learn about our incredible cetaceans.

These talks are free to the public, though booking is essential for the Candie Gardens event.
