Wear your wellies for Grow day
As part of their 40th anniversary year, local charity Grow is inviting everyone to get their wellies out on Friday 18th October. Organised by its fundraising arm, Friends of Grow (FrOGs), are encouraging people of all ages to trade their everyday shoes for a pair of wellies and contribute a minimum of £2.00 to support Grow’s invaluable work.
“Imagine the fun of seeing people in wellies everywhere you go! It’s a simple, delightful way to support a fantastic local charity” said Rick James, chair of FrOGs.
“As part of the day, we are also holding a Best Decorated Wellies Competition and bring out the artist in everyone. Get those creative juices flowing and transform your wellies for a shot at winning a beautifully planted planter from Grow’s workshop and vinery. Just snap a photo of your masterpiece and share it on our Facebook page with the hashtag #WelliesForGrow.”
This event is open to everyone – businesses, schools, colleges, pre-schools, and anyone else with a pair of wellies!
