Trinity College Choir: A Musical Journey from Medieval England to Modern Classics
La Seigneurie House and Gardens will echo with the sounds of centuries of music on Thursday 10th July, as the internationally acclaimed Choir of Trinity College
Cambridge brings a rich and varied programme to Sark.
Under the beautiful setting of the historic gardens, the choir will perform a vibrant selection of pieces spanning from 13th-century medieval rounds to 20th-century swing and pop arrangements. Highlights include choral gems such as ‘Sumer is icumen in’, ‘The Silver Swan’, Benjamin Britten’s evocative flower songs, and modern classics like ‘It Don’t Mean a Thing (If It Ain’t Got That Swing)’ and the ‘Spiderman’ theme.
This is a rare opportunity for island residents and visitors alike to enjoy an outdoor performance from one of the UK’s finest collegiate choirs, in one of Sark’s most iconic locations.
Come early, explore the gardens, and enjoy an unforgettable afternoon of music.
