Town Walk with Stuart Fell
Stuart Fell is an architect with a long-standing interest in the historic environment, having worked at Jersey Planning Department as Conservation Officer and subsequently as a heritage consultant; currently President of Société Jersiaise, and Chair of its Architecture Section.
The aim of the walk is to show that much of the change imposed on the Island’s historic capital in the last two centuries has been positive and enhancing, but also considers the underlying causes of the damaging changes that have occurred since the 1960s to the present day.
The walk is in the busy streets of St Helier and caution is advised.
This town centre walk is aimed at professional architects and planners, and others with an interest in safeguarding the special character of the Island’s built environment.
The tour will start promptly at 1pm in the Royal Square, so we recommend you arrive by 12:45.
