The Hospice Half 2027

Now a firm favourite in Jersey’s endurance road running calendar, The Hospice Half Marathon returns on Sunday 21 March 2027.

Professional services firm EY is sponsoring the sell-out event for a fifth year.

The 2026 Hospice Half was a huge success, with nearly 900 runners taking to the roads between The Hospice Shop West in St Ouen and Jersey Hospice Care on Mont Cochon, raising close to £60,000 for the charity.

As well as the individual half marathon distance, runners can also choose to participate in the two-person relay. Any corporate mixed teams entering the two-person relay will be automatically entered in the EY Corporate Cup.

There will be a slight change to the course this year to avoid St Ouen’s Village, but the course will still start at The Hospice Shop West in St Ouen then meander through the picturesque lanes of St Ouen, St Mary, and St John before finishing at Jersey Hospice Care on Mont Cochon. Runners and spectators will be greeted by cake and refreshments in the EY Race Village as they cross the finish line, where the winners’ presentation will also take place at 13:30.

The change to the route also means that the organisers are able to make more places available to runners, making the event bigger and better than ever.

Seeing runners challenge themselves, often for deeply personal reasons, while raising money for such an important cause is always inspiring, humbling, and a powerful reminder of what our community can achieve when we come together.”

Funds raised from the event support the palliative care services provided by Jersey Hospice Care, which cost £18,000 per day.

Our running community has so much affection for the Hospice Half. We welcome many of the same runners year on year, but it’s also a great route for anyone attempting their first half marathon distance.”
