Repair Café – St Brelade
The FREE community event where you can bring your broken ‘stuff’ to repair, and open to all parishes.
Teas, coffees, cakes/biscuits and live music on stage from Foolish Things and Ant Noel & Iain George.
No fireworks (not intentionally at least!) but let’s get fired up and have a blast. Hopefully, repairs will spark interest and a flash of inspiration, and as the guys say, it’s not rocket science. 🙄 (Sorry, couldn’t help it – I’m a Boomer!) 😄
Items can include clothing and fabrics, bikes and e-bikes, toys and tech, computers and gadgets, ornaments and sometimes small items of furniture. Electrical appliances can be tested and often repaired too. If you can carry it, we’ll see if we can fix it.
There will also be a Giving Table where you can pick up or donate items free, and a St.B. Climate Action Group table to ask questions and chat about the subject.
A series of pop-up sessions where volunteer fixers help Islanders to repair any household items they bring along (for free!) in a friendly café environment with refreshments and music.

It’s a Parish initiative with aims including doing our bit for the environment by repairing and saving things from ‘the dump’ but also helping people see how it’s possible to repair rather than ‘recycle’ or replace, all in a friendly and social environment.
