Speech and language challenges associated with Parkinson’s
As part of our charity commitment to further expand the support network for people affected by Parkinson’s in Guernsey, we are thrilled to announce our 3rd Talk of the Month, which will focus on the critical topic of Speech and Language Challenges Associated with Parkinson’s.
Speaker: Claire Fuller, Lead Speech and Language Therapist at PEH
Claire Fuller, a local expert in the field, will be leading this informative Talk of the month. Her presentation will cover various aspects of how Parkinson’s disease can impact communication skills, including voice-related challenges. She will discuss strategies and techniques that individuals affected by Parkinson’s, as well as their caregivers and loved ones, can implement to maintain effective communication.
In addition to speech-related issues, Claire will shed light on swallowing difficulties that may arise in individuals with Parkinson’s. She will offer guidance on dietary modifications that can help manage these challenges and enhance the overall quality of life for those living with Parkinson’s.
This event is a free event open to anyone affected by Parkinson’s. Refreshments will be provided, so please let us know you are coming here.
Together, we can learn, share, and support each other in our journey to enhance the lives of those affected by Parkinson’s.
