Social mobility and equality of opportunity
Social mobility is inherently linked to equality of opportunity: the extent to which a person has the same chances to do well in life, independent of the environment they come from or live in. Companies thrive when their people do.
Are the barriers of social mobility impacting the prosperity of your business?
In a world where social mobility and equal opportunities are at the forefront of societal discourse, join IoD Jersey to explore how a lack of social mobility has negative economic, societal and political impact.
The panel discussion aims to unravel the intricacies of the topic and open people’s eyes to how much luck can play a part in our social status.
Hosted by the Chair of Diversity & Inclusion Sub-Committee, Kiley Henley and sponsored by Walkers, this event promises a morning of insightful discussions with a varied panel who will be looking at the topic from an array of viewpoints, including lived experience, from a legal/policy perspective and through the eyes of the migrant population in Jersey.
