Rock to Rocque cycling fundraiser
The date of the annual Rock to Rocque fundraiser has moved from the bank holiday weekend to Sunday 1st June and will be kindly sponsored by Zedra this year.
This annual cycling fundraiser raises essential funds for palliative care, bereavement support and other hospice services.
The round island route has two starting points and it is not a race so can be cycled at your own pace, although participants are encouraged to reach the finish at North Beach by 2pm.
The marshalled route starts at the top of Val des Terres at 9am on Sunday 1st June 2025 and Wheels and Co will be running a bike clinic at the start for any last minute bike adjustments that may be needed. The route heads through St Martins and Forest out to Rocquaine to follow the coast road around to North Beach in Town. For those who wish to cycle a shorter route there is one additional starting point to join the event at 11am from Grandes Rocques.
This event marks the final day of a month of cycling for the special group who signed up to the iconic Ian Brown’s 30/30 cycle fundraiser, which also raises money for the Hospice. They will be meeting up to cycle along the front from Ian Brown’s cycle shop during the morning. This unique sight of so many cyclists in the same jersey always provides a wave of colour snaking along the final stretch of the Rock to Rocque route.
Dust off your bike from the shed or power up your electric bike and gather friends or family to get signed up! Online registration before the event is encouraged but there will also be an opportunity to register on the day.
