Join Rise and Shine for their our annual Christmas event.
Enjoy an even more informal fun and festive gathering with a short talk from local writer Jenny O’Brien entitled ‘You can do it and, if you can’t, change it’.
In 2019, Jenny O’Brien, a nurse with no prior experience in creative writing and, crucially, no literary connections, was welcomed into the fold of a prestigious publishing house, a path traditionally closed to all but a select few.
Jenny will explain why she’s a firm believer in making her own luck and why hard work and persistence, while important can only take you so far.
Christmas jumpers, attire and accessories are encouraged.
