Regulatory and compliance masterclass

We are pleased to announce that the Jersey Funds Association (JFA) will be hosting its annual Regulatory & Compliance Masterclass on 17 September 2024 at the Royal Yacht Hotel, St Helier. The event will begin with registration at 8:00 AM, followed by the official start at 8:30 AM.

We are delighted to be joined by a distinguished guest speaker from a leading London law firm, who will share insights on off-island developments. In addition, speakers from the Government of Jersey / the Jersey Financial Services Commission (JFSC), and local practitioners from Jersey will provide valuable local perspectives on topics.

The event will be structured into two parts:

• The first half will feature keynote presentations from our esteemed speakers.
• The second half will transition into interactive panel discussions, allowing you to engage with our panellists and explore the topics in greater depth.

• 2024 Jersey Private Funds Guide – An update on key changes and practical steps.
• Anti-Money Laundering & Counter-Terrorism Financing – An overview of the latest MONEYVAL report published in July 2024.
• Post-UK Election Outlook – An analysis of what’s on the horizon for the funds industry, including discussions on the broader regulatory landscape outside of Jersey, with perspectives from the UK and beyond.
• Data Management – A focus on investor data and other regulatory data requirements across global jurisdictions, particularly in the US and EU.
• Artificial Intelligence in Fund Businesses – Practical insights on AI implementation, ethical considerations, monitoring and compliance.
• This masterclass is an excellent opportunity to stay ahead of regulatory developments, gain practical insights, and network with industry peers.
