Regen Gathering 2024
Regen Gathering is a Channel Island regenerative food and farming conference that puts farmers at the centre of the conversation!
With panel discussions, workshops and technical demonstrations, Regen is a free two-day event about innovative food and farming approaches, bringing together a diverse range of people and ideas.
Why?
How do we build resilience into the future of farming and actively link up actors across the local food system? Local resilience and productivity are closely connected with diversity – diversity of thought, practices, business models, scales – which ultimately foster healthy ecosystems, benefitting both people and communities. The supply of and access to healthy food and building long-term food resilience require collaboration from all types of farm businesses and food organisations.
Alan La Maistre, CEO National Trust and Farmer Le Tacheron explained: “We love the heritage of Jersey. We want to see Jersey continue to farm and continue to preserve its rural environment.
For us, regeneration is all about regenerating the rural community. We want to be part of a vibrant community, working with both large and small farms for a diversified farming future. We hope this conference sparks debate, fosters unity, and inspires a positive outlook on creating a richer, more collaborative rural community, bringing in that Jersey spirit that has been the foundation of the Island’s farming for so many generations.”
