RampArts: Poetry reading, live music and exhibition launch
RampArts invites islanders to enjoy an evening of live music, poetry reading and art ~ completely free!✌️
You’ll be welcomed by local musician Tom Rolls, a solo songwriter, loop artist and multi-instrumentalist. Tom’s music explores a fusion of genres such as Nu Jazz, Bedroom Pop and Old School Hip Hop.
Jersey’s poet community and students from our unique five part creative writing series, in collaboration with American poet Traci Lynn, take to the stage at the The Salvation Army Café, reuniting their words to share them with a select audience. Each students poetry has been brought into a visual world by a local illustrator, and we launch an exhibition of their artwork as well!
We bring the evening to an end with fresh vocals from Canadian singer-songwriter Kyra Greif, who has dabbled in a wide variety of genres from jazz to folk, alt rock to indie pop, lullabies to video game soundtracks. At the core of her music she aims to express the purity and genuine emotions from which she started writing at a young age, and bring them out in those who listen to her songs.
