Preloved fashion event
The tickets are now out! Come along on Wednesday 25th September from 4:30-8pm to St Marys and St Peter’s Church on Wellington Hill for an evening all about raising money for Jersey Hospice Care.
Hosted by A-Level Business students from Beaulieu, this drop-in event is aimed at all ages with the aim of raising vital funds for a charity so close to all of our hearts. There will be drinks and cookies kindly provided by Dough as well as guest speakers advocating about sustainability. We will also have a speech from the charity and live music provided by young local musicians with the chance to buy a new wardrobe and watch models walk the catwalk in the clothes we have been lucky enough to have donated to us.
We aim to promote sustainability and reduce fast fashion by purchasing preloved clothes, which we have collected for the event throughout the summer. This event promises an engaging and enriching experience for all attendees, fostering a sense of community and environmental consciousness!
Marina Brockbank Community Engagement Officer for Jersey Hospice Care says “At Hospice, we’re passionate about shopping sustainably and championing pre-loved fashion, so when the team from Beaulieu approached us with this great idea, we were really excited to be involved. We rely on community lead events such as this one to help raise the vital funds we need to keep our services running, so I’d like to say a massive thank to the girls for making us their charity of choice and for putting so much energy and enthusiasm into what will be a great event.”
