Positive Board Dynamics & AML Oversight

Join us in person to boost board teamwork and nail AML oversight like a pro!

Join us in person for this practical course that will help Guernsey NEDs strengthen AML/CFT/CPF oversight by using positive board dynamics, constructive challenge, and clear accountability to improve governance, risk management, information flow, and regulatory confidence. Led by Jo French from JETT Training.

Learning Outcomes:

By the end of this course, participants will be able to:

  • Understand how effective individual and collective board behaviours support good governance, constructive challenge, and NED accountability for AML compliance oversight.
  • Recognise how board dynamics and human factors shape decision-making, risk appetite, challenge, escalation, and the quality of AML oversight.
  • Describe how a high-performing board team balances collaboration, independence of mind, constructive challenge, and clear accountability so each director contributes effectively to AML governance and oversight.
  • Apply practical techniques to improve board dynamics, strengthen information flow, and support effective AML challenge and escalation.
  • Assess how poor board culture can weaken AML oversight, increase regulatory exposure, and undermine effective governance.
