Parkinson’s Guernsey Awareness Day
Be part of a powerful community event marking World Parkinson’s Awareness Day!
This event is an important opportunity to reassure those affected by Parkinson’s that they can lead fulfilling lives with the strong network of support and resources available locally.
It also highlights the valuable work of our charity, Parkinson’s Guernsey, whose motto is: Parkinson’s Guernsey, Moving Forward Together.
We’re bringing together more than 25 organisations and professionals to meet our community, showcasing the extensive support network available on the island for a morning of connection, shared information, discovery, and movement.
Meet the professionals dedicated to supporting people living with Parkinson’s, their families, and loved ones across the Bailiwick. And step into our Demo Area!
Attendees will have the opportunity to participate in interactive demonstrations and try a variety of activities designed to promote physical activity and social engagement, including:
- Boxing,
- Pickleball,
- Padel,
- Pétanque (soft version for indoors!) ,
- Walking with poles,
- Aerobic-based dance,
- Walking football
- Accessible cycling.
Whether you live with Parkinson’s, care for someone who does, or simply want to learn more – everyone is welcome.
Don’t miss the opportunity to: Ask questions, Make connections and Try activities.
Save the date. Bring a friend. Be part of the movement!
