Moonlight walk
Join together with family, friends, and strangers, as you walk side by side in honour of loved ones who are no longer with us.
Our Moonlight Walk, on the 14 June, is a lovely community event where people who’ve experienced loss can walk together under the cover of the stars and share memories of their loved ones – all while raising money for Hospice.
There are two options for your stroll – the 5k Half Moon Walk or the 10k Full Moon Walk. Both of the walks will begin at St Brelade’s Parish Hall at 21:00 and follow along the sea front. The Half Moon Walk will turn at Layby 7 (opposite Coronation Park) and head back to the parish hall, while the Full Moon Walk will turn at La Fregate and head back to the parish hall. Both groups will enjoy some well-earned tea and cake upon their return!
Marina Brockbank, Community Engagement Officer for Jersey Hospice Care, said: “Moonlight Walk is a truly heartwarming event. Whether you’re walking to celebrate the lives of those no longer with us, make new memories, or perhaps a bit of both – it’s about coming together as a community to show how much we value our Hospice’s work. It’s also a wonderful opportunity to enjoy a summer’s evening walk with family, friends, or colleagues.”
Moonlight Walk is kindly sponsored by Carey Olsen.
