Memory Walk
Dementia Jersey is inviting all islanders to step up to fight dementia by signing up to the Memory Walk. The aim of the walk is to give islanders an opportunity to remember loved ones and help raise awareness and funds to support the 1,600 people in Jersey living with dementia.
There are two ways people can get involved in the Memory Walk; join the official Dementia Jersey walk or choose to do your own walk.
The official Memory Walk is on Sunday 28th September at 10:30am, from La Frigate to St Aubin.
This 5K route is flat and accessible for wheelchairs and pushchairs. Participants have the option to walk, run, jog, or cycle. For those who prefer flexibility, individuals can choose their own walking route on a day in September that best suits their schedule.
Claudine Snape, CEO, Dementia Jersey, said: “Our Memory Walk welcomes everyone, including those who have personally experienced dementia in their families, those who wish to support the cause, and even furry friends! It’s a great, family-friendly opportunity for islanders to unite and show support for people living with dementia.”
