Lunar New Year acrobatic performance

Learn.je is proud to present the 2025 Jersey Lunar New Year Celebration, bringing a vibrant and immersive cultural experience to Jersey.

This year’s festival, kindly sponsored by the Creative Island Partnership, celebrates the Year of the Snake, a symbol of wisdom, transformation, and renewal.

Join us for a vibrant and uplifting performance that captures the energy and optimism of the Year of the Snake. Jersey will be host to an 8 person acrobatics crew which showcases skillful and traditional performances!

The headline performance will feature the internationally acclaimed Guizhou Acrobatic Troupe, renowned for their breathtaking fusion of Chinese folklore, movement, and artistry.

Performance Line-Up:

• The Rhythm of Youth – A high-energy solo act symbolising ambition and the ever-moving rhythm of life.
• Handball Acrobatic Display – A mesmerising showcase of agility and precision as the performer manipulates a ball mid-air.
• Rival Skills – A dramatic duet combining strength, grace, and synchronised acrobatics.
• Magic: A Costume Transformation Show – A dazzling visual journey through China’s diverse ethnic cultures.
• Moonlight: A Solo Acrobatic Tale – A poetic performance exploring themes of longing, dreams, and homecoming.
• Pas de Deux: A Dance of Emotion – A beautifully choreographed duet depicting human connection and shared emotions.

With Jersey Opera House providing technical support, this event will deliver an unforgettable sensory and cultural experience, blending visual spectacle, music, and movement.
