Light in the Dark: A conversation on mental illness, hope, and recovery
Join Focus on Mental Illness for a moving and courageous talk by Canon Conor, a respected community leader and mental health advocate, who lives with bipolar disorder and speaks openly about his experiences of suicide thoughts and the devastating loss of three family members to suicide.
Canon Conor has faced some of the toughest challenges life can bring, and he shares his story with rare honesty, compassion, and insight. His message is one of recovery, truth, and the belief that mental illness should never mean silence or shame.
This evening will be:
- A challenge to the stigma that too often surrounds mental illness and suicide
- An encouragement to anyone who feels alone, uncertain, or unheard
- A celebration of the strength, wisdom, and value of people with lived experience
- Whether you live with mental illness, support someone who does, work in the field, simply want to listen and learn, this event is for you.
