Les Bourgs aims for 600 Cyclists at Rock to Rocque to mark 35th anniversary
One of Les Bourgs Hospice’s longest standing fundraisers, the Rock to Rocque Cycle Ride returns on May 31st, celebrating the start of a new three-year sponsorship partnership with Zedra.
Their support will help ensure the continued success of this much-loved community fundraiser and help mark Les Bourgs Hospice’s 35th anniversary this year.
Rock to Rocque plays a vital role in helping to meet the £2.8 million annual cost of running the Hospice—around £8,000 every day—funding specialist palliative care, bereavement support and other essential services for islanders. This year the island’s only Hospice hopes to see 600 cyclists take part, building on the 435 who registered in 2025.
The fully marshalled round‑island route begins at the top of Val des Terres at 9am, with Wheels and Co on hand to offer last‑minute bike checks. Cyclists follow the route through St Martin’s and the Forest before heading out to Rocquaine and along the West Coast, finishing at North Beach. A shorter option starts at 11am from Grandes Rocques, making the event accessible to riders of all ages and abilities. Rock to Rocque is not a race—participants are simply encouraged to reach the finish at North Beach by 2pm to receive their medal.
The day also marks the finale of Ian Brown’s 30/30 Cycle Challenge, whose riders traditionally join the route in their distinctive jerseys, creating a colourful wave of cyclists along the seafront.
So, dust off your bike – or power up your e‑bike – and take part with friends, family or work colleagues. Sign-ups will be available on the day, but registration online through the Les Bourgs Hospice website is quick and easy and helps with the organisation of the event.
