Law Made Simple: Family Law – divorce, separation and children
The Institute of Law is delighted to announce the return of its popular lunchtime talks, Law Made Simple.
The talks will take place from Monday 8 to Friday 12 September, 12.15pm – 1.15pm at the Public Library, St Helier.
Each talk will focus on a different area of law and will be delivered by experienced Jersey lawyers.
Designed to make legal issues more accessible to the public, these talks are free to attend and open to all, with no booking required.
The subjects covered will be as follows:
- Monday 8 September – Family Law: Divorce, Separation and Children
- Tuesday 9 September – Wills, Succession and Probate
- Wednesday 10 September – Owning and Renting Property
- Thursday 11 September – Small Claims and Tribunals, including the Petty Debts Court and Employment & Discrimination Tribunal
- Friday 12 September – Legal Aid and Acting as a Litigant in Person
