Launch celebration of new public artwork ‘Fish Wish – Paîsson d’Pâssion’
ArtHouse Jersey, in partnership with Creative Island Partnership and Jersey Markets, are delighted to be welcoming a new public artwork in the Central Market
this Saturday 5 April 2025.
The unique ‘Fish Wish – Paîsson d’Pâssion’ installation is the culmination of a Jersey Markets Residency by artists Esther Rose Parkes and Karen Le Roy Harris at Beresford Street Fish Market. The artists transformed the studio into a community space for conversation and workshops.
To celebrate this powerful artwork, there will be a special launch celebration on Saturday 5 April between 5.30pm and 7pm at the Central Market fountain. There will be a one-off performance of the choir piece sung by market traders and local community members around the installation. People are invited to come, listen, reflect, and add their own wish to this evolving shared space.
