Joe Webb Trio

The Joe Webb Trio, led by one of the UK’s most electrifying young pianists, Joe Webb, will deliver an evening of original jazz music at the Jersey College for Girls Main Hall on Saturday, October 19th at 7:30 PM.

Presented by the Jersey Opera House in association with Jazz en Jèrri, this performance will showcase brand-new compositions by Webb, performed by his trio featuring Will Sach on bass and Sam Jesson on drums.

Joe Webb, renowned for his collaborations with jazz luminaries such as Wynton Marsalis and Jamie Cullum, is hitting the road with his own ensemble to share his innovative musical vision. Influenced by stride piano, Britpop, and the beautiful game, there aren’t many musicians out there like Joe Webb. His recent performances at esteemed venues and festivals—including Duc Des Lombards in Paris, Ronnie Scott’s in London, and Blue Note locations in Beijing and Shanghai—have garnered widespread acclaim for their unique blend of jazz and contemporary influences.

Webb’s style merges the raw energy of 90’s guitar bands with a deep connection to jazz piano tradition, creating a performance that promises to captivate audiences. His relentless exuberance and almost rockstar-esque swagger have positioned him as a leading force on the UK jazz scene today. Recently signed to the prestigious jazz label Edition Records, Webb is set to release a series of EPs and an album in 2024, showcasing his trailblazing artistry and commitment to modernising jazz piano tradition.

The trio’s chemistry, forged during their time as the house band at a renowned London venue, is the driving force behind this tour. Their dynamic interplay and creative prowess are set to deliver an unforgettable live experience.
