Jersey Speaker Factor

Jersey Chapter is thrilled to announce the launch of the Speaker Factor Series, a brand new initiative giving aspiring and emerging speakers the chance to take the mic, build their confidence, and raise their profile in a fun, supportive environment.

The series will run over eight Tuesday evenings from 1st July to 19th August 2025, with each event featuring six speakers taking the stage at The Sundown to deliver a 15-minute talk. Speakers will then receive live feedback from a panel of professional keynote speakers and communication experts.

The goal of the Speaker Factor Series is to nurture local talent, give individuals practical experience in front of a live audience, and create opportunities for growth in public speaking, leadership, and communication.

“This is all about giving people the confidence and platform to use their voice,” said Claire Boscq, chair of the VSAI Jersey Chapter. “Whether you’re just starting your  speaker journey or want to build on your skills, this is a safe and inspiring space to take that next step.”

“I wish something like this had existed when I first started giving my keynote talks, said Jo Ferbrache. “It’s such a brilliant opportunity to practice speaking in front of a live audience, feel the energy in the room, learn to stay present when the nerves kick in, and receive invaluable guidance from a supportive team of experienced coaches.”

The judging panel includes professional speakers and communication experts:

• Douglas Kruger – CSP and Hall of Fame Global Speaker, bestselling author and industry expert
• Claire Boscq – No. 1 Woman Customer eXperience Global Guru, international keynote speaker
• Nicki Kennedy – Communication strategist and vocal coach
• Louise Strachan – Founder of Function Event Management
• The series will be hosted by Jo Ferbrache, well-known local presenter, coach and community advocate.

Each night’s winner will be invited to perform again at a Speaker Showcase in November.

The Speaker Factor Series is open to anyone who has a message to share, whether it’s a business insight, personal story, or motivational idea. Talks on any topic are welcome, and no prior speaking experience is necessary.
