IoD Breakfast: Spotlight on the ‘S’ of ESG

The Institute of Directors (IoD) July breakfast event will focus on the social dimensions of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) practices.

Building on this month’s the IoD’s June breakfast, which focused on the ‘E’, the event on the 3rd July aims to equip business and charity leaders with the insights that both sectors need to work together more effectively.

Attendees will gain valuable insights from the Association of Guernsey Charities’ latest sector survey, which highlights the pressures of increased third sector regulation, the changing needs of the community and the challenges of fundraising in today’s economic climate.

This session will emphasise actionable strategies to enhance corporate social impact and how partnering with charities can help meet an organisation’s UN Sustainable Development Goals.

Themes under discussion during the session include the importance of skilled volunteers, how to forge meaningful, effective and long-term relationships with charities and other ways to support charities such as unclaimed dividends and dormant assets.

The event will conclude with networking time for attendees from the business and charity communities to meet and explore potential collaborations.
