The IoD Guernsey Branch’s January breakfast webinar, taking place on Friday 26 January, will host Partner and Chief Economist at Deloitte in the UK, Ian Stewart (pictured), to explore the latest UK economic outlook and Richard Hemans, IoD Guernsey’s lead on economics, to analyse what it means for local business leaders.
The event will also welcome Skipton International as the monthly breakfast sponsor for the 2024 event series.
On their commitment to the IoD breakfast events in 2024, Nigel Pascoe, Skipton’s Director of Business Development, said: “This strategic collaboration symbolises our mutual commitment to nurturing Guernsey’s economic growth, promoting the spirit of good business connections, and ensuring continued excellence within the local branch of the IoD.
“Our partnership brings together two highly professional organisations that influence within their respective sectors. At Skipton, we are incredibly excited about the prospect of merging our expertise with the business acumen of the IoD.”
Glen Tonks, Chair of IoD Guernsey, said: “We’re looking forward to working with Skipton and we are grateful for their support. They’ve been a great help so far and we look forward to flourishing the partnership.”
Ian Stewart is a Partner and Chief Economist at Deloitte, where he advises clients on macroeconomics and financial markets developments. Ian devised and leads Deloitte’s quarterly survey of Chief Financial Officers and regularly contributes economic insight to UK media.
