Inter-firm relay

Canaccord in the Crown Dependencies, an independent wealth management firm, calls on islanders to support the annual Inter-firm relay.

The annual Guernsey Inter-firm relay, where local businesses compete over a course through the heart of St Peter Port, is now just weeks away and promises to provide a truly entertaining and competitive spectacle.

Sponsored by Canaccord for more than 20 years, the event raises funds for Guernsey Athletics Island Games team.

Teams of four run just under a mile each on a course which takes in the picturesque streets of the Truchot and the Pollet, as well as the main town seafront.  The course isn’t without its challenges though – with the uphill final stretch proving the hardest part of the run.

Many Canaccord staff support the event by volunteering as marshalls and helpers and with capacity for up to 60 teams –240 runners – it’s a great event to watch – or even run in.

Commenting on the annual event, the Head of Wealth Management in Guernsey Chris Colclough said: “The annual inter-firm relay is a fantastic opportunity for local teams to compete in a light-hearted event which raises valuable funds for Guernsey Athletics Island Games team.”  He added “it’s a great way to let off steam and put the stresses of the working day to one side and compete as a team for this very worthy cause.”

You’ll have to be quick though as this popular event is always a sell out.
