Inspired by Jersey – Jersey Literary Awards
An evening celebrating books written by Jersey authors and inspired by the Island will take place at The Harbour Gallery Jersey on Thursday 12 November.
Organised by Rural Magazine and sponsored by BCR Law LLP, the Inspired by Jersey Literary Awards Evening will recognise books in three categories: Fiction, Non-Fiction and Children’s Fiction.
A total of 28 books have been entered, all published within the last 18 months and written by authors from Jersey, living in Jersey or writing about the Island.
The four judges, David Benest, Ken Syvret, Chris Bright and Jennifer Bridge, have spent several months reading and assessing the entries.
Winners in each category will receive a £250 prize, sponsored by BCR Law LLP, with the awards presented by Jersey’s Chief Librarian, Ed Jewell.
All the books considered by the judges will be available to purchase from The Jersey Bookworm on the evening for £5 each, with proceeds going to Art in the Frame Foundation, which celebrates its 25th anniversary in 2026.
