How authentic employee wellbeing affects your bottom line
We all know that we should be doing things to look after the wellbeing of our employees. On the surface, it would seem that workplaces are taking wellbeing more seriously. They are starting to train mental health first aiders, offer employee assistance programmes and provide flexible working options.
The real question is, are employees truly seeing these benefits? Are they genuine? Are they helping keep employees happy? Are they attracting and retaining people?
Because ‘pretending’ to advocate for employees’ wellbeing can actually have a detrimental effect, it needs to be genuine and authentic, you do need to care about these things for them to make a difference.
Lisa Ingrouille from Guernsey Mind will present the latest stats and up to date thinking about why it is important that employers understand what matters to staff and practical advice on how to go beyond token gestures and really look after your people. Lisa will also be sharing some information on Guernsey Mind’s new Workplace Partnership, which is due to be launched in the New Year.
