‘Hands On’ – An audience with ‘Show of Hands’
‘Show of Hands’ is without doubt one of Britain’s greatest roots/folk bands and for Alderney it’s quite a coup to host one of their last concerts as part of the band’s farewell UK tour before retiring. Not surprising therefore that all tickets for this concert (Saturday 8 July) sold within 48 hours, leaving many of their fans across the Bailiwick disappointed.
In response, the band has decided to stage an additional, unique and quite different show on Friday night 7th July when the audience will experience a very special evening with Steve Knightley and Phil Beer.
In contrast to their more formal Show of Hands concert on Saturday 8 July, this exclusive event takes them back to their musical roots and the folk clubs where they learned their craft. The audience will enjoy an intimate, acoustic concert offering a behind-the-scenes insight into their music.
Limited tickets will be available for this special interactive and informal night, featuring requests, Q&A sessions plus the opportunity to learn tricks of the trade – a unique opportunity to connect with these renowned artists.
The show takes place in the Island Hall and starts at 8:00pm. Tickets for this exclusive performance will be £25pp and will go on sale at Anchors in Victoria Street on Friday 9th June. Anybody currently off the island can book by email.
