GST-plus Explained

This webinar focuses on the proposed GST-plus package, which forms a central part of Guernsey’s wider tax reform programme. It will cover the proposed introduction of a Goods and Services Tax, alongside related changes to personal income tax, social security contributions and benefit payments.

The session will explain what is being proposed, why these changes are being considered, and how the different elements of the package are designed to work together. It will also explore what the proposals could mean in practice for businesses – including potential impacts on costs, pricing, payroll etc

Chamber representatives and civil servants will talk through the detail in a clear and accessible way, helping businesses understand both the mechanics and the policy intent behind the proposals. There will be time for questions, giving attendees the opportunity to raise concerns, seek clarification and better understand how the GST-plus package may affect their business, their employees and their customers.
