Foster Isle of Man: We are recruiting foster carers

Many children here on the Island need foster carers that can provide them with a safe, caring and supportive home.

They will need understanding and patience but also lots of laughter and fun! Could this be you?

Foster IOM are part of a great team at the Family Placement Service. They recruit, assess and support foster carers on the Island. Their drop in sessions are being held in the hope of recruiting people like you: from all walks of life, people who care, people who have the time and space to provide a home for children and young people who will need your help to reach their potential.

They need a range of people, some who are willing to take children of all ages, some who may have a specific age range in mind. They need carers for babies and all ages up to teenagers, some on short breaks, some for longer periods and some for the rest of their childhoods. Some children have special needs, others need help to transition to university or to the world of work. They don’t expect anyone to do all of these but if you could share a corner of your life with a child please, drop in to the Work Café and talk it through with them.
