Flower Ball
Local charity Grow is holding a Flower Ball in September to celebrate its 40th anniversary.
Organised by its fundraising arm, Friends of Grow (FrOGs), the event promises an unforgettable evening of celebration, entertainment, and community spirit.
“At Grow, our mission is to empower adults with learning disabilities and difficulties by helping them develop self-confidence and life skills through occupational training and mentoring in a safe and stimulating environment, “said Rick James, Chair of FrOGs. “The FrOGs team and our wonderful volunteers play a crucial role in raising the essential funds needed to support Grow’s work. We couldn’t let this milestone pass without a celebration, and we are delighted that some of the Crew from Grow will join us to mark this special occasion. We hope everyone will embrace the theme and wear something with a floral theme for the evening.”
The Flower Ball is set to be an exciting evening featuring a 3-course meal, entertainment, and music from Last of the Light Brigade. Attendees will also have the chance to participate in a raffle and auction, with all proceeds going toward supporting Grow’s invaluable programs.
Mandy Mackelworth, General Manager at Grow, expressed her gratitude, saying: “The support provided by FrOGs is vital to the operation of Grow, and we are delighted to celebrate our 40th anniversary with them. There are still a few seats left so we would love people to join us for a night of celebration and support a great cause!”
The event will take place at St Pierre Park on Saturday, 28th September. Tickets are priced at £75 per person, which includes drinks on arrival and dinner.
