Epilepsy awareness session
Following the resounding success of the recent Heart Health workshop, Jersey Cheshire Home has announced its upcoming Epilepsy Awareness session.
This informative event will take place on Tuesday 26th March from 2:30 to 4:30 pm at the new Jersey Cheshire Home Community Centre in Green Street, St Helier.
The session, which is free of charge, will be led by Sarah Jemson, Registered Manager at Jersey Cheshire Home. Sarah is dedicated to providing valuable insights into epilepsy and its impact on individuals and their caregivers.
The Epilepsy Awareness session is designed as a drop-in event and open to all including caregivers, healthcare professionals and anyone interested in learning more about epilepsy.
During the session, Sarah will delve into various aspects of epilepsy, including:
- Understanding what epilepsy is and its manifestations
- Identifying the most common types of epilepsy
- Exploring the effects of epilepsy on individuals and their daily lives
- Learning how to effectively care for someone living with epilepsy
This event serves as an essential opportunity for attendees to gain valuable insights into supporting individuals living with epilepsy and to deepen their understanding of epilepsy fostering a supportive environment for those affected by the condition.
