The talk will focus on sharing differences and comparisons between the Netherlands and Jersey concerning placemaking and the role of traffic in general and cycling more specific. Shelley will discuss the Dutch network approach towards infrastructure, the so called hardware, as well as discussing the social side of cycling, such as who actually cycles and why.

Shelley will enrich her conversation with plenty of visual examples, in this way her story will be made visible and the applicability in real life situations will be shown. Shelley is very much looking forward to exchange knowledge, ideas and together make steps towards a future proof and liveable world.
