Join us for an open discussion on our updated guidance for criminal background checks, which comes into effect 31 May 2026.
Jersey’s 2023–2024 MONEYVAL Mutual Evaluation Report identified a a requirement for enhanced background checks for beneficial owners, controllers, principal and key persons.
Alongside the The Government of Jersey, we have committed to delivering enhancements as part of the national action plan.
These enhancements align Jersey with FATF standards and enhance the island’s ability to prevent criminals or their associates from owning, controlling, or influencing supervised businesses.
