Decorate to liberate!
Residents of St. John are invited to take part in the parish’s Best-Dressed Property Competition, a celebration of Liberation Day that encourages the community to decorate their homes in patriotic colours and creative displays.
The competition, running from 1st April to 10th May, is an opportunity for parishioners to showcase their Liberation Day spirit by adorning their homes with bunting, flags, flowers, and lights. The best-dressed property will win a £50 voucher for St. John Inn.
Andy Jehan, the Constable of St. John said: “We want to see St. John bursting with colour and community pride this Liberation Day. This competition is a fantastic way to bring people together and celebrate our island’s history. We encourage everyone to take part, get creative, and make St. John the best-dressed parish in Jersey!”
How to enter:
Residents can decorate their homes anytime throughout April and up to 10th May and submit a photo of their display to Lib80@stjohn.je. Judging will take place after Liberation Day, with the winner announced soon after.
