Data Protection Guidance for Charities
Join the Jersey Office of the Information Commissioner (JOIC) team for this guidance session to understand your obligations under the Data Protection (Jersey) Law 2018 and how it helps maintain customer, staff and volunteer trust.
Data Protection legislation is in place to help ensure that when it comes to our personal data, all of us are provided with appropriate legal protections. The Data Protection (Jersey) Law 2018 applies to the public, private, charity and non-profit sectors and all organisations that process personal data must be registered with the Jersey Office of the Information Commissioner.
As well as providing guidance about local data protection law, the JOIC team will be explaining more about the work of their office, followed by a Question and Answer session.
Spaces for this event are limited. Those that wish to join this event are asked to email Lyn Wilton, Administrator, Association of Jersey Charities at to check availability and register.
