Combatting financial crime together: 2023, MONEYVAL and beyond [sold out]
This September the Island will be assessed to establish how well we are implementing the FATF Recommendations to combat financial crime. From January 31st, the Government will continue to host live events to keep industry updated on progress, developments, and what they can do to contribute.
This event will go through the significant milestones of the year leading up to the on-site visit. We will discuss the results of the experience of other jurisdictions and give a briefing on the legislative changes we have seen in 2022, and those coming up in 2023. This ‘past, present and future’ review will cover all relevant amendments made in 2022, with special focus on Deferred Prosecution Agreements and the new Failure to Prevent offence.
These larger briefings are all scheduled to take place at the Radisson in the morning with an 8.30 meeting for coffee and pastry, before the event itself starts at 9.00, with a scheduled end time of 11.00.
As with 2022 events, there will be scope to meet the speakers once the presentation is finished.
A fuller agenda will be sent out nearer the date.
