Cobo Bay Balcony Gigs: The Last of the Light Brigade

Live music will once again returning to Cobo Bay this summer as the line up for the Cobo Bay Hotel Balcony Gigs has been confirmed.

Cobo Bay Hotel are delighted to announce the 2026 Balcony Gig line up for this summer.

There are some old favourites returning, along with some new faces. Tributes kick off with crowd favourites Queen on Sunday 3rd May, followed by Tina Turner on 24th May. Sunday 28th June sees the ever-popular local band The Last of The Light Brigade headlining, with Oasis returning to the island on the 12th July. The summer draws to a close with a Take That tribute on Sunday 2nd  August and finally a tribute to ABBA on Sunday 30th  August.

“It gives us great pleasure to announce a stellar line up of local and UK acts. With the miserable winter of weather we are experiencing, this news will hopefully come as a glimmer of hope that summer is just around the corner,” said Director of Nuttree Ltd, Jamie Nussbaumer.

Mr Nussbaumer said that he was grateful for the support of four key sponsors who are vital in helping to bring these top tributes to the island as costs for such events continue to increase.

“The Cobo Bay Balcony Gigs have been the highlight of the summer for many years, and this year will be no different. As previous sponsors, Ravenscroft Capital, Randalls and Pula know how popular the events are and are delighted to be supporting again in 2026 and to be joined by Rihoy & Son. The Balcony Gigs are community events in the truest sense of the word with people dining on the Cobo Bay terrace, enjoying a few drinks in the road or families listening to the music from the beach. We look forward to joining them all for what we hope will be another great summer,” said a spokesman on behalf of the sponsors.

Mr Nussbaumer was keen to emphasise the added benefit of utilising the events to raise much needed funds for some great local causes. This year, there will be a charity paired with each gig. The beneficiaries will be Safer, Guernsey Cheshire Homes, The Guernsey Sports Commission, Guernsey Mind, Bright Beginnings and the Priaulx Premature Baby Foundation.

Head of Fundraising for the PPBF, Sara Edmonds, said: “We’re thrilled to be included in this year’s Balcony Gigs. The generosity shown by the community helps us continue supporting local families with premature babies and critically ill children when they need it most. Events like this are a wonderful reminder of the kindness and support that exists across our island.”
