Chief Minister to outline vision for Guernsey

The IoD Guernsey Branch’s September breakfast event will take place on Friday 19 September, featuring Chief Minister Deputy Lindsay de Sausmarez.

During this in-person session, you will hear directly from the newly elected Chief Minister about her vision for the political term ahead and the States’ priorities for the island.

The event provides attendees with the opportunity to hear Lindsay’s perspective on the challenges and opportunities facing Guernsey, and how leadership, collaboration and long-term thinking will be essential to ensuring the island’s continued prosperity. This will be followed by a Q&A session, offering members the chance to ask questions and engage directly with the Chief Minister.

Deputy de Sausmarez was elected as Chief Minister by the States of Deliberation in July 2025. She previously held the position of President of the Committee for the Environment & Infrastructure, and brings a deep understanding of sustainability, infrastructure, and cross-committee collaboration to the role.

Glen Tonks, Chair of IoD Guernsey, said: “We look forward to welcoming the Chief Minister to speak at our September breakfast. This session will provide our members with insights into her leadership approach and the States’ direction of travel for this political term. It’s an important time for Guernsey’s economy and infrastructure, and we look forward to hearing Lindsay’s priorities for the future.”

The event, which is sponsored by Skipton International, and will take place from 7:45 to 9:00 on Thursday, 19 September, at the OGH and include tea/coffee and a light buffet breakfast.
