Church candles

Candlelit lights of love remembrance service

Starts at 7:30pm (please arrive early to add your baby or child’s name – see below).

Everybody is welcome, especially anyone affected by the loss of a child, at any age, gestation and no matter how long ago.

Lights of Love is a candlelit service of carols and readings. A time for reflection in the run up to Christmas, to remember our babies and children and honour their existence.

Before the service you are invited to:-

  • Star tags: write a personal message and hang on the Christmas tree
  • Roll of Remembrance: we invite you to write down your baby or child’s name and these will be read out during the service
  • Volunteer to read a verse of our ‘Five Candles for You’ poem, read just before the congregation is invited to the front to light a candle.

During the service you will be invited to the front to light a candle in memory.

A small gift will be given out during the service for you to take home.

If you would make to make a donation there will be a collection tin available.

Following the service light refreshments will be served, with grateful thanks to Harper’s Catering for their continuing support.

If you cannot attend but would like any of the above to be done in memory of your baby, please do let us know.
