Book signing and talk: The German occupation of Jersey – Agriculture and survival in a time of war
A former teacher and head of history at Victoria College will be signing and discussing his new book: “The German occupation of Jersey: Agriculture and survival in a time of war” on 13th November.
Author Andrew Gilson grew up in Jersey and subsequently taught on the Island for 38 years.
The book is a result of seven years researching from Germany, Austria, UK, France, Guernsey and Jersey. 5000 documents from 300 files were researched. Including new files discovered by the author from the RJAS and JFU.
The book is on presale on Amazon Books and had been in the top 100 in 3 categories for 6 weeks.
