Bloomin’ Alderney Garden Festival 2026: A celebration of European gardens
The Bloomin’ Alderney Garden Festival returns for its 17th year from Saturday 6 to Friday 12 June 2026, inviting residents and visitors to explore the island’s most beautiful and lovingly tended gardens.
This year, the festival joins a wider celebration of gardens across Europe through Rendez-vous aux Jardins, an initiative that began in France in 2003, placing Alderney firmly on the map as part of a vibrant international showcase. Throughout the week, the island will transform into a colourful tapestry of creativity and nature, as private gardens open their gates, some for just a few hours, others for the duration of the festival.
From hidden courtyard retreats to expansive gardens with stunning sea views, there is something to inspire everyone, whether you are a keen horticulturist or simply enjoy spending time outdoors.
The festival also comes at an exciting time, as Alderney celebrates being named a finalist in the RHS Britain in Bloom awards, highlighting the island’s ongoing commitment to horticultural excellence and community pride.
Visitors are warmly encouraged to join in this unique celebration of nature, community, and creativity.
