Art exhibition: ‘Canadian connections’
Exhibition opens Friday 12th September, 6.00 – 8.00pm.
Art in the Frame Foundation asks you to keep Friday 12th September free, to come down to The Harbour Gallery Jersey for the official opening of ‘Canadian connections’. An exhibition of textile art and paintings from the very talented and popular Naomi Renouf.
Wine bar and buffet and for just £5.00 per ticket, you could own a fabulous piece of Naomi’s textile art, to be drawn during the evening.
Historic ties between Jersey & Canada are strong with seafaring and fishing connections over hundreds of years. With close family living in Canada and having done an art residency in the Gatineau Hills near Ottawa, Naomi is inspired by the Gaspé coast in the East to Vancouver Island in the West.
Until recently most of Naomi’s work has been executed in textiles, with work in collections worldwide. When visiting family in Canada she spends time painting and producing textile work back in Jersey.
