Annie Jr.
St Stephen’s Players are delighted to be returning to the Princess Royal Centre for Performing Arts this July with our upcoming production of Annie Jr., directed by Abbie Forman.
With a cast of 37 talented performers all under the age of 18, this heart-warming musical promises to bring energy, laughter, and community spirit to the stage.
Annie Jr. is a youth-friendly adaptation of the beloved Broadway musical Annie. Set in 1933 New York City, it follows the story of a spirited orphan named Annie who dreams of finding her parents.
Living under the harsh rule of Miss Hannigan at the orphanage, Annie’s life changes when she is chosen by Grace Farrell, the sophisticated and kind secretary of billionaire Oliver Warbucks, to spend Christmas at his mansion.
Through her charm and determination, Annie wins over Warbucks and ultimately discovers the true meaning of family and love. Filled with catchy songs like ‘Tomorrow’ and ‘It’s the Hard Knock Life’, Annie Jr. is a heart warming tale of hope and optimism.
